Now that the U-23s are in camp, Brian Sciaretta tweeted out the roster from the same camp 4 years ago. In retrospect, should come as no surprise we didn’t qualify.

Look at it positively: given all the talent available, when he doesn’t qualify, his ability to harm soccer anywhere in the country should be over.

He literally got fired from his last two jobs, lasting 1 year and 2 years, with long periods of unemployment after each... if he was in the real working world, that’s sort of resume wouldn’t get him an interview anywhere, let alone a choice position the equivalent of being at Google. It’s absolutely disgusting that USSoccer put him in charge of the 2nd most important tournament steerage, and more disgusting that they prop up a career of failure.

I really wonder if the players will respect him as their coach... they’re web-literate so it’s not as if they don’t know his history and how he ran two rosters in to the ground with outdated tactics.... this decision just baffles me.
So Lewis makes the full NT, but Sands nowhere to be seen? Was first 11 in the u17s and now I don't see him in u20/u23. Was really hoping he'd be part of this Olympic cycle.

Those people aren’t willing to do their own research. The data is there for the viewing on the web, and Google is an amazing search engine, but these fanboys are lazy and ignorant.
Must be nice to have a coach that can convey tactics and scheme over just a few days of practice. I’ve been told it takes half a season plus off-season for concepts to take hold.

I don't really value Pulisic's opinion here. I would be more interested in hearing one of the veteran players give their take on Berhalter's preparedness and coaching style. I think a veteran's opinion on him would be more valuable, especially from the guys who played for Klinsmann or Bob Bradley.
I guess I would rather hear what Michael Bradley has to say about it than Pulisic.
I value any player’s opinion that will be starting a match. This is Pulisic’s team now, so his vote of confidence is definitely important. If anything, I wouldn’t rate Bradley’s opinion being one of the guys that didn’t understand the importance of a particular match in T&T.
I get what you're saying but a player who is relatively new to the national team doesn't have the perspective that a veteran would when it comes to organizing a team on a short timeline.
I'm skeptical of Berhalter overall. I'm optimistic of his potential and want him to succeed.
