USMNT Talk

If you see any interviews with him you can tell he is a smart dude. He knows EXACTLY what to say to endear himself to the Celtic fans -- and he genuinely looks so freaking excited to be contributing.
He’s class. I remember a year ago when there was a writeup about him playing pickup with a local rec team - can’t remember the exact details, but he met some guy kicking around and the guy called him later when they were short players and Weah showed up with his cousin(?) and they joined in - didn’t embarrass anybody, just filled in to make sure the team wasn’t short. Pretty sure the posted pic was of him in a Nigeria WC Jersey.

It was via Instagram. Weah just said he was looking for a game.

He’s got the attitude of a big time player. Can’t wait to see him sub on for Zardes and score at will.

Just like I can’t wait to watch Adams, as one of the best young sixes in the world, be forced into some hybrid fullback position so we can force a weak ass Bradley/Trapp role into the squad.

Hope he does good enough at Celtic to earn a move to a team in a bigger league than SPL but where he'll actually get playing time. Might be a long wait no matter how good he is behind Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani in Paris..

Yeah, he's playing well. I don't get to watch him live but I see the highlights. I'm excited for him to do well and bring that to USMNT.
If you have BR live, they are on there a good bit.

And if not, there almost always a decent-ish stream linked on Reddit.

This kid is an absolute star, and he’s potentially a great player, too. He just carries himself in a way that draws in fans. Few people convincingly pull off the “humble, but supremely confident”. The ones that can are stars in whatever they choose to do. Tim can and does pull it off with ease.

He stands to go down as an all time fan favorite even if his performances wound up more along Eddie Johnson than Landon Donovan (and he’s really nothing like either of those guys as a player. Looking globally, I’d say the best big time player comparison might be an Aubamayeng, just like I think a little Lewandowski/Kane combo is the best stylistic comparison for Sargent.)

Wow. Also played a significant role in MLS, not only as a head coach in the earlier years, but he largely put together the FCDallas system.
Totally forgot he was really the architect of FCDallas youth system.
