Yep. Both of whom had a couple of rough moments, to be fair.
i knew they were coming, but didn't know when, where, who.
goes to show how little people care about soccer in the US and add to that it's the january camp with no superstars and you get even less attention.
the highlights of the costa rica game showed a very poorly attended game too. that's probably partly due to no superstars and largely due to the US soccer charging and arm and a leg for a ticket ( i didn't check, so this is speculation).
Plus it was in Orlando, and it was freezing cold.

Just because players wearing the national team colors are playing a game doesn't mean the national team is playing. These January camps are fugazy. They mean absolutely nothing. I don't really care to see the C-team in action.
That's fair, I'm just shocked I didn't even hear a peep about it anywhere.
they are valuable to the coaching staff to evaluate lesser known talents at the international level. some guys showed pretty well, it seemed. and poch seems to be preaching "i don't care where you play, as long as you perform, you'll get selected" but that may just be the right thing to say and not the truth.
that being said, i was sad to see our man freese didn't get any match minutes. as a fan, yeah i agree it is not a priority to watch.
Don't you call Matt Freese on the bench for two matches the C-team!

Also, it might be for the best if it was only lightly watched in this country… an embarrassing result. I mean Panama is a good team, but still.
i tuned in for about 10 mins. we didn't seem to have much flow. no cohesiveness. no grit. it's like we played expecting panama to just roll over and let us win. it was embarrassing for a team that has the "big stars".

Probably not the best to have TNT be the broadcast partner and play your game on the same night as the NCAA Tournament. Though I realize that's not USMNT's fault.
And for the crowd ... when you charge $200 for every game, this is what you get. Their extortion of American sports fans causes stadiums to be nowhere near full for national games.
