Supporter sanctions?

Time to ban more of these fucks. Anyone that gets arrested for fan violence should get life time bans. Was this los templados again?
Shouldn't just be lifetime bans at home stadiums but also away. Violence should lead to becoming a total pariah in the league.

Whoever was in the lowest 3-4 rows of the supporters section were the ones actively throwing things.
I'm not well versed in who is part of what group, but the ppl around me said at least some of them were folks from los templados.

But there was definitely verbal barbs from various areas of the section. I maybe bitched out a guy from the back of our section who yelled a homophobic thing on my way out (we left a little early to be safe. I never leave anything early.)

It's just disappointing from both ends. Playful banter is one thing but this was just pathetic - I have no idea why security let the verbal sparring go as long as they did.

First I am totally disgusted by the thought of someone representing NY saying something homophobic.
As a guy from NY I have spent my life defending our people from this kind of shit from the rest of the Americas homophobes and racists
What about the whole "don't cross the line" push from soccer?
Los templados sounds Spanish to me. I hope its not some minority using deragatory terms about another minority as an insult

What does Los Templados mean?
I hope it doesn't mean goat fucker or some shit.

To clarify - the homophobic statement I heard yelled came from an entirely different area than the area I was told was Los Templados. I have zero idea what (if any) SG the person was in. Not that I am excusing any bad behavior from anyone but waned to make that clear.

And I will say Security seemed entirely uninterested in de-escalating anything. After I yelled at the guy, I was speaking to a security woman about how disgusted I was by the behavior and she just said: "yeah this always happens with New York." As if this was an incident entirely spurred on by one side, and one which they were powerless to prevent. Which is both untrue and counterproductive.

WTF did you just get me to imply that people were goat fuckers than say maybe it was someone else who was the goat fucker???

This fan behavior is despicable, we should stop keeping score and just give everyone a trophy to avoid all problems..

Some of our supporters are doing their best to live up to every unfortunate stereotype about New Yorkers. Well done idiots.

Not cool, I'm starting to understand the divide within the fans, they not helping themselves at all
When you come visit, we will make sure to show you that there are plenty of us good guys and gals out there. First round is on me.

I have loved sitting in front of the SS at YS in 136. All the energy of the supporters without having to bring my family into the middle of it. I am now, for the first time, considering giving up my 2nd row seats to move away from the SS. This is all just so embarrassing.

The Supporters Section should be only for groups registered with the team - not run by the team or regulated by the team. Sitting here is a perk of very cheap seats and as such there has to be tighter control of who gets access. Cause problems - loose access. It's simple and easy. Supporter groups also have to enforce within their own rosters - be more selective of who gets to be part of the organization and immediately kick out the ones that buck the system. It's not an act of being Big Brother, it's the implementation of sensible rules.

Separate thought: does Philly actually sit both supporters groups next to each other, or am I imagining that?

They are in immediately adjacent sections, but there is a gap between them. It's at one of the 4 corners. The home supporters are all behind one goal, and away are in a side section nearest to that goal.
