That's a pretty tall statement considering Pulisic is the top rated 18yo in the world. If Sargent is better... fcking A!Sargent > Pulisic

Damn. With a talent like that, it's really time to start phasing some of the elders out of the rotation/pool. His one-time shooting reminds me of Woods, but maybe better. They both like to hit he ball early and keep their shots low/on net.Solid performance today. Sargent scores again. He's not anything like Pulisic. Sargent is a pure striker whose playing style is similar to Harry Kane or Lewandowski. He puts everything on frame and gets shots off lightning quick with thunderbolt power. He also has otherworldly balance and body control to go along with above average vision and passing ability, as well. He was really good in holding up the ball today, too.
I'm really not sure that he isn't a top 5 striker in the US pool already on an ability basis. I know he hasn't "played against grown men", but he's outshined people who have. His movement and runs are just incredible and demonstrate a very mature understanding of the game.
Here's his goal from the Senegal match. Find a real video if you can. That turn and SMASH don't get done justice in a gif. I am sort of hoping the deal with Bremen gets subverted and he lands on a better squad. But maybe he'll grab early PT for them, although he can't officially sign and join for another 8.5 months (still 17 until then, damn you, FIFA).

Also, Little Klinsy is not good.
Yes, his goal today was reminiscent of some of Wood's efforts, for sure. Based on what I've seen, Sargent is more accurate than Wood. He's also less physical, but at 17, he has time to grow in stature and understanding of how to use his body more.Damn. Ha! Considering some of the horrid displays by refs lately, I'd be the guy letting the game finish 7v11 if the players persisted with dangerous play and encroachment on kicks. My rep would precede me that you kick a ball away or kick the leg at knee level or above and it's a straight card.Yes, his goal today was reminiscent of some of Wood's efforts, for sure. The second half was pretty much Senegal defenders getting sick of chasing him, so they just started kicking him. Pretty despicable display by them as it got late. One defender went in with studs at least hip level and just raked him all the way down his leg. That's apparently what it took to get a yellow. For me, that's a red. I wouldn't suffer that sort of intent to injure if I were ever a ref (God forbid).
You would be Simon Borg's favorite referee.Ha! In that case, I'd turn towards the camera and show it a red card. You would be Simon Borg's favorite referee.

Nice touch, good combo. Definitely worth some bonus DanBucks if I ruled the world.gets shots off lightning quick with thunderbolt power
Cameron will be done after this cycle. Bradley really should be, too.Would love to see pulisic play with Sargent. CB is so deep in our talent pool now. Brown and CCV are the real dead. Add in brooks, Cameron and miazga... not bad.
Now if only we can get a LB and convince Bradley to retire.
What's clear is he handicapped our team with his squad selection. Like Parchman, fully disagree with him praising a decent performance from a C+ squad that's due solely to the manager's selections.
Guess which team the US U-20s face in the next knockout round? Venezuela.Venezuela with the win this morning so definitely no Herrera this weekend.
Why a crazy, great match? It's at least even. Venezuela may win, but they are not significantly better than the US. In fact, there's a good argument the US should be favored.Guess which team the US U-20s face in the next knockout round? Venezuela.
Maybe our boys will have some crazy great match and send Yangel home to us.
