Does the Alonso Martinez announcement mean we have an official announcement for every all-but-official announcement except Maxi? I've lost track.

Yep ... the last one we're waiting on is Maxi. Then hoping they all get their visas before our next game.

Really feels like bringing on these players is signaling the end of Talles as an NYCFC player. He's clearly fallen out of favor, and I feel like he's not going to be on the 2024 team. Especially with his DP status, wouldn't surprise me if we tried to find a better player for that slot. He was great last year before Taty's departure, but has been a zero since Taty left. Feels like it's time to move on.

Buyout Thiago Martins. Or restructure his deal so he’s not a DP. We need that DP to be in the attack. It’s hamstrung our roster.

Let Talles play on the LW with an attacking LB. And let them cook.

I don't disagree with any of this, but considering how Talles seems to have fallen out of favor, I think it's in the cards at this point that he's leaving in the winter.

One of my thoughts yesterday was "Why have a DP centerback and then play them next to Chanot and Gray?" Callens and Martins were worth the DP slot. Martins with this current crew is not.

I can't remember who said it, but next version of roster rules needs to remove transfer fees from DP salaries.

Bogert splits the analysis between Miami and everyone else, so best signing Messi, best non-Miami signing Diego Rossi by the Crew, etc.

NYCFC didn't have best or second-best anything. We only rated a mention for being active and obtaining "several talented young players (though while shipping out Gabi Pereira)… but they are in 13th place in the Eastern Conference so they certainly needed to be busy."

so are we thinking barazza lost his #1 spot? or did nick think leagues cup is whatever so give freese some minutes?

Uh - Leicester has been remarkably successful. Not sure that’s the best analogy.

As long as we are more successful than the Yankees.

I watched Leicester need a late game winner at home in the second division this morning.

As I mentioned on the HRB twitter account, if CFG signed Mbappe and sent him to the Bronx they would burn The Etihad to the ground.

Of course they could always announce his signing for NYCFC then pull the ol' Lampard switcheroo of 2015 routine.

If they pull another Lampardgate, it would have seriously repercussions
