2025 Roster and Transfer Discussion Thread

while also getting lucky that this is a particularly weak conference.
It's not weak.
The playoff line projects to 52-53 points. The West projects to just 44. NYCFC projects to end with 50 points at current pace.

The last team to make the playoffs in the East had 40 points in 2024 and 43 in 2023. In 2022 only 7 teams qualified and even then the line was 48 and the 9th place team had 42.
Which is to say your point that "We've done an incredibly good job keeping our heads above water this season" is stronger than you seem to realize.

Yeah the west is really weak this year, a difference in 8-9 points in playoff line is huge between conferences.

We need to be at least the 8th seed since the front office is saying that the first 2025 "home" playoff match is included as part of the 2026 season ticket package.

Looking at how fast Man City is making signings this window, it sure doesn't feel like our slow nature is due to Machester's indecision.
Because we have already won a title and have a stadium on the way. We're an afterthought at this point.

My 9-YO wants me to offer everyone the chance to participate in a poll on the best players on this year's team. It's through Google Docs and simply asks you to vote for your Top 10 players in order.

The key is to make sure you don't pick a player twice, as that will mess up the voting. You will have until June 20 to put in your answers.

Should be fun.

Thanks to all of those who have been participating. We've had a good number so far, and Charlie is almost as excited about this as he is in the video below.*

Reminder that tomorrow is the last day. After that, he will tabulate the outcome and head off to summer camp.

Damn if I knew I could make 724,000 for running straight into a wall every time I get the ball, I'd put in an application for NYCFC right wing

I think Hudson River Blue had a piece after the salary release saying we are 24th in the league in total salary. Just embarrassing and unacceptable on so many levels.
