Now that Bogert is reporting I guess it is pretty official and I'm claiming the dub.
Three for three. I still don't think this was a great leap of faith but there were doubts.

Seriously. The effort he's put out this campaign is damn near superhuman, especially considering the injury he had to overcome to get back. If he doesn't get a statue in front of Etihad Park, there's no justice in the world.

I actually wonder if Pascal keeps the Maxi as 8 experiment going as long as Parks remains out.
Fernandez in front of Perea and Maxi?
I'm sure this is the plan, but down the stretch and come playoffs, any coach is going to choose a lineup of 4 competent professionals over the Ojeda/Fernandez devolopment project. Come playoff time, if everyone is healthy, I'd bet money our starting lineup is Wolf, Martines, Maxis ,and Nicolas Fernandez.

Jansen values positional flexibility and can interchange across the attack, and this guy has played everywhere so dont be surprised to see him on the wing.

Wow, Nico Williams committing to an eight-year deal with Athletic Club shows incredible faith in his talent!
Imo it would be more cool if we named one of the stands or terraces or something after him.
Like calling the South stand the Moralez Stand (ironic given his height but you know...)

Right. And at his age, he hopefully has the maturity to understand that being a pro and not half-assing it here will lead him to better opportunities. Unlike the other brat who thought he'd automatically start and play every minute regardless of performance in training and on the pitch.
We could have a real one here. The more I prowl and probe, the more I like what I see. He's going to have time to acclimate and get ready to hit the ground running, too.
We might have to call him Zeke (for Ezequiel) to not confuse him with Julian Fernandez, though. (Side note: Zeke and Juli would be a great title for a movie — some gritty urban thing set in 1970s New York, maybe.)
Anyway, all joking aside, if he's everything I suspect he is, David Lee may have come through at last.

i think martins contract is up end of 2025. its possible after 2026 WC. the plan will be better revealed then.
