He lives in LA with his family. And he is out of contract with Schalke, plus its not secret he wants a MLS contract.LA it is then?
I am guessing then that Besiktas chose not to take up the extension option in his contract (or they mutually agreed not to do so)? I haven't heard anything but likely missed it if there was a story. He lives in LA with his family. And he is out of contract with Schalke, plus its not secret he wants a MLS contract.
I think the door is open, although I am sure he wants to play in the US now, not next March. NYCFC signs him and loans him to Chivas USA?
His contract with Schalke is basically already up and his loan to Besiktas ran out in May. LA Galaxy are already using 3 DPs (Gonzalez, Keane and Donovan) so they would have to make a change to take on Jones.I am guessing then that Besiktas chose not to take up the extension option in his contract (or they mutually agreed not to do so)? Not sure an internal loan of that sort would work. I can definitely see him signing with LA soon, though, if he is done with Europe.
I thought his move to Besiktas was a short term contract (with extension option) rather than a loan but I could be wrong. His contract with Schalke is basically already up and his loan to Besiktas ran out in May. As far as the DP number issue I had heard rumours awhile ago that Gonzalez may be leaving LA for Europe, which would create the slot needed. If that was to happen it would be in the next month or so.
Yeah I remember hearing thatI vaguely remember hearing something recently (can't remember the source) that Gonzalez would likely be moving to Liga MX. Anyone else hear this?
Yes he went to college in the US and played for KC for many years. But he was committed to Honduras at a young age. He might still have or could easy get a US green card if you were worried about keeping him "domestic".Random question. Did the USMNT ever tried to get Roger Espinoza to commit?

Not exactly the description of talent you want for your national team. I should know, it has become a mantra for the English as of late.I see. Too bad. He wouldn't be our worst player.
It just a way of talking.
Wonder how legit that is? I would love to see Mix here.Article from ASN (no meat, all fluff) that mentions JJJ & Mix coming to MLS (specifically, Mix to NYC). Just posting ICYMI

I think they're simply stating what they'd like to see. It doesn't really give a source or say it will happen the way I read it. Just that adding those two guys to the league would be great for raising the profile.Wonder how legit that is? I would love to see Mix here.
How in the hell is that a terrible attitude? If you have your choice of employers, why wouldn't you negotiate? It sounds like he's doing the right thing to me. If employer A is your preferred job, but B is offering substantially more money, then you'd be crazy not to try to get A to match it. He has a limited window to stash away enough money to take care of him and his for 50 more years. I would never resent someone for trying to get what he's worth. Actually, if you can get more than you're worth, fair play to you.Jones was interviewed on mlssoccer.com today and said something to the effect of..."If MLS MEETS MY DEMANDS then I would like to join MLS"
Terrible attitude. Pass if you're NYCFC
