I think missing Chanot is part of our attacking woes. His passing ability out of the back is very good.
Looks at those balls that he passes to the midfielders beyond the defensive line...

He had some sort of medical issue - heart maybe(?) that concerned the team, not sure if a murmur or irregular heartbeat or something else. Evidently he’s been ok ever since so IDK....Does anyone remember what the deal with Josh Williams was Year 1? Listening to SITC last night, it seems like Kreis did not play him as a CB. I know hindsight is 20/20, but considering the lack of CB production we had year 1, this seems like a huge mistake.
Interesting. Forgot about that. Also seems like he full converted to CB in Toronto. He had some sort of medical issue - heart maybe(?) that concerned the team, not sure if a murmur or irregular heartbeat or something else. Evidently he’s been ok ever since so IDK....

Toronto has a real coach and talent evaluator - and he’s a former CB which helps with the nuances of the position. Kreis was the worst thing that could have happened to many players’ careers.Interesting. Forgot about that. Also seems like he full converted to CB in Toronto.

That's actually a really interesting thought. If Chanot is 100% I wouldn't be opposed to starting him at RB.
Funny thing is, we're discussing Chanot - even if we get him and he has a fantastic game, we could easily get the PV shaft when he starts TMac or Shelton, because that's just how he rolls.
Midas Mulligan nails it.
We suck when we park the bus. We're better when we play possession and it attack.
I'm totally comfortable if PV wants to play for a 0-0 draw in Columbus. That's not dumb. But not by playing 3 CBs and Mikey Lopez.
We definitely suck when we park the bus. The goal should be to attack and be aggressive. We've been fortunate to have the bye and ready this week. Columbus played 120 minutes. Come out and try to score in the first 30 minutes. Then go for the throat and run them out of the building. If we can win 2-0 or 2-1 we can play more conservative at home next Sunday.
I'd love to see Mata play LW opposite Harrison with Sweat and White in the back.
Chanot still listed as OUT as per the injury report.
That is the MLSsoccer.com injury report which just takes the latest version. NYCFC hasn't listed our injury report yet. They'll probably have him as day-to-day.
I really don't care if we lose by a goal tomorrow. As long as we bag a goal or two, I think we'll be find coming back to YS.
