Ballouchy Retires

I think I will remember Ballouchy for scoring two pretty good goals that were highlights of a terrible beginning of 2015 and not a whole lot more other than seeming like a good guy. No real cap impact, so not much of an event other than another original guy gone.
And the team of Jason Kreis continues to fade.
someone gotta make a whole list of pictures of that 2015 team....and then start greying out those that are gone.
Crazy that we could be down to one by January. Mix is almost certain to be gone, so I'll say him first. Hernandez and Saunders are both expensive backups, so who knows about them.
It's not out of the realm of possibility that Saunders retires.
It's a minor thing, but I hope if we plan to cut him, we give him the option to retire ahead of that.

I agree, unless the team sweetened the pot with a job on staff that paid as much or more than his current deal, why not just ride out the last year and collect the pay check?
Mix is gone. We might keep Saunders as an expensive backup. But I think Hernandez goes in the draft when we don't protect him. Hernandez is too expensive for us to keep around, but not too expensive for a first year team hurting for quality of any sort.
Saunders I think has another year on his contract, no one in their right minds is going to take him from us so I think we're stuck with him.
We're now conducting a full open heart surgery on our midfield. Who we get and what their contract looks like will inform us of what our team is going to look like after Pirlo leaves. TBH after Pirlo leaves were probably going to wind up overrruning damn near every midfield in MLS, just because of the type of player we needed to out around Pirlo.
