Any reason behind the Hamburg love? Due to them being the only original Bundesliga team left (before finally getting relegated).

Hoffenheim- They also lost Rudy and Süle before last year (and Wagner halfway through the year), who were deemed two of their best players as well, and still managed to get 3rd spot on the table. It sucks for them that they keep losing these players, but I have confidence Nagelsmann will put together a team that will compete in the upper tier in the Bundesliga. But, I wouldn't be surprised at the lack of names they've lost over the past two seasons finally hurting them, as sad as that would be. Also, being in the CL may hurt them due to extra games and travel.

Hoping for Werder to rise up and be a top team again, maybe even on the shoulders of the Americans in the squad.

The BVB-Schalke Revierderby is the only true big derby in Germany at the moment. Unless 1860 management somehow manages to reverse the plunge of that other Munich team, it will be that way for a while.

uhhhhh, idk, something about the club is just really nice to me. One is (was :C ) the never relegated thing, but that wasn't the main reason. I honestly can't explain why, I just suddenly out of nowhere would jump from the Dortmund highlights straight to the Hamburg highlights every time. It could be because they just have entertaining games imo.

I'd call for a CCL hangover (like what just happened to Koln and Frankfurt a few years previously) but Hoffenheim have done this before and did well, so I don't know if that will happen. Nagelsmann is a great coach, so he might be able to lead them up again. They came pretty close last year!

Just put it on to see Kingsley Coman have his ankle bent in what could've been a red. Great start to the fucking season. Hopefully it isn't as bad as it seems, but the slow-mo replay didn't look great.

Softest penalty? No. Pretty soft, but defender is retarded for leaving his feet, any experienced winger will initiate contact. Ribery did cut back but you can't argue that he's not trying to go towards the ball. He knew a leg would be in between the ball and himself. Yes, I do see that he went into the contact. But, based off the rules, how do you rule the opposite?

Good use of VAR, that's how it should be employed. Letting that go would've been bad.

Edit: VAR takes back another goal, as it should. This is nuts.

I'm honestly fine with it. If that happens in regular play, say midfield, and only redirects a pass, I think its's let go. Goal vs. a pass is different, in my opinion.

It has become Bayern and a bunch of garbage. The rest of the clubs aren’t worth anything except as a development ground for Bayern, PL, and La Liga.

The quality has dropped severely over the last few years. I used to think they could keep producing players to keep up the talent level. Now, I’m not so sure.

Also, most of the clubs play really ugly football. Really, really ugly.

I was a big bundesliga fan for a while, but I’m kind of just sick of what it’s become.

I was honestly surprised by the Wolfsburg win. I think it was a fluke victory, and Schalke is gonna come back in future weeks. Pretty much every other result is exactly what I expected, and I'm very excited for tomorrow's games. RB vs Dortmund's gonna be great!

It’s easily 4th at best now, well behind England, Spain and Italy. It’s basically equal to France, imo.

oh, I understand that... I understand your viewpoint, and it's totally valid. Some things have become more dull over the years- but others have not. For example, I really enjoyed last year's relegation battle, and the intense champion's league race. Towards the end of the seasons the teams really heated up and it was very fun to watch. As with anything, soccer is preferential... I, for one, can't watch Serie A or Ligue 1 because I hate just how slow they are. Even La Liga I have a hard time getting into. Bundesliga is pretty slow too, but does offer (to me, anyway) a bit more than those other leagues do.

I hope Wolfsburg are much better this year. Besides having Brooks I currently work for Volkswagen ( though not much longer ) and I just really like wolves so I Roma would be my serie a team and I kind of like Wolverhampton a little lol
