Let's do this shit.
Funny enough, I messaged my brother pretty much the same message this morning lol.
Last time Hoffenheim hosted Bayern we got one of my favorite goals of the season:

As well as this one:

So like, it's gonna be a great match, I can't wait!!!

I may be moving to Hamburg next year.
It seems that both teams or at least 1 will be back in the Bundesliga 1.
Has anyone been to a Hamburg or St Pauli game?
Any input on the experience?

If you have a solitary ounce of cool in your sentient and or physical being, you go with St Pauli. That Hamburg diamond logo is pretty clutch though.

Funny, because the opposite is true with beer logos.

It's a little more complicated than this. I'm not a real expert but my understanding is that Hamburg are a pretty typical German working class support. Saint Pauli are famous for their far left supporters with a punk rock aesthetic most of their merch features a Skull and Crossbones (Though it's not on their actual badge) so part of the question does come down to your politics . I'm decidedly liberal but I think the Saint Pauli support largely come across as a step or two passed me to the left. The other question would be are you more into watching the match or the crowd? I'm into punk music (Old punk and new wave are arguably my two favorite genres) but again at times I think the punk ethos of the club might be a bit put on for effect by at least some of the fan base and the actual football comes second?

Haha, to be completely candid, I was super hungover and being sarcastic. But this is really informative.

My favorite team outside of Dortmund is... HSV soooo does that make me not cool? :O

What's the deal with Union Berlin?
"In former GDR times Union was known for a rivalry with Dynamo Berlin who was affiliated with East Germany's Secret Service Stasi. Union was patronized by Eastern German Trade Union FDGB. The club played some identificatory role in the unofficial opposition against the authorities of the communist system."
Taken from Wikipedia. Can look into the source in the book by K. Farin/H. Hauswald: Die dritte Halbzeit (The Third Half).
