Interesting debate would be whether the OSU job is preferable to ND right now. OSU probably offers more support and resources and NIL, but it's kind of toxic at the moment. If you come in and don't both beat Michigan immediately and win a natty by year 3 I think you're on the hot seat. Sustained excellence is not sufficient in that job, unless you also do the other 2 things.
Lots of speculation that the Bears go after the Lions OC, which is fine this Vikings fan. But Freeman will almost certainly get a chance to at least interview for NFL jobs, and he'll need to decide if he wants to be a CFB coaching lifer and try to make a legacy at ND, or go for the glitter.
