Concacaf Champions League

Well DCU came thru... like a fart in a movie theater.

Backing Montreal for the rest of their run. Not really feeling the narrative that they are more a Canadian team than MLS. Their goals all came from Jersey guys, so its not like being in MLS didn't help them get this far. Montreal shows what can happen if a team takes the CCL seriously. Much respect. I hope NYCFC does too.

What could have been if Hamid started the away leg...

I am 100% in on CCL.

What amazes me is that more teams aren't in on it. Last year, the league had 19 teams and 10 playoff spots. 5 teams were absolutely God awful in MLS. Toronto and Philly almost made the playoffs. They stunk.

Now you have 20 teams and 12 playoff spots. The regular season really doesn't matter all that much. I would rather see us continually fight for a 3/4/5 spot in the playoffs, but focus on CCL. A Supporters' Shield would be nice, but ask Seattle or NYRB if they would rather have an MLS Cup.

CCL is definitely the measuring stick for MLS teams. The regular season is worthless. MLS already dominate the US Open and Canadian Cup (sorry Cosmos). The MLS Cup is important, but winning the first CCL would bring eternal bragging rights.

Anyone watching the Impact tonight? Last game's hero Cameron Porter with the start.

You see Herediano (sp?) has Club America on the ropes over on the other side of the bracket?

If Montreal can advance to the Finals they stand an excellent chance of actually winning the damn thing!

You spelled it right. That was crazy yesterday! I would say anyone but Mexico, but Costa Rica is coming on strong in CONCACAF. I'm am glad the good-guys at RBNY gave the Impact the week off to concentrate on this game.

Montreal's blueprint to success:
Step 1: Win the Canada Cup for CCL invite
Step 2: Tank 2014 and 2015 MLS seasons
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!

Google Montreal Impact CCL live stream or link ;)

Might take a while to find an English stream.
