Yep, the team is either gonna have to start a reserve team or promise minutes on first team or they’re gonna lose the kids they’ve been grooming since 13/14 to college (or overseas if they hold a passport).
They stalled for years but now it’s hitting the point of no return with some of the kids.
Owosu steps in immediately and fills a gap for this team. Don’t see Chanot coming back.

i thought it was already determined chanot was gone. so there is high hopes for Ibeagha then, who isint bad. but the whole playing out the back he struggled from what i remember.
seems like its our "best" class because they all play together so many years. but im not really following the lower classes so i dont know if there is anyone making noise.

From the Villa event, we know they are discussing a new contract with at least one player who had their options declined
So he’s being signed as a sign/hold role because they were afraid they’d lose him. The 5th CB shouldn’t be getting any minutes.

I think it’s mcnamara for a variety of reasons but mostly because of the versatility in midfield he provides.
I mean, in an ideal world, that would be the case. It's a salary cap league so it's hard to build a roster with large talent pools. Teams that are largely successful in this league have great academies and homegrown to supplement the bigger spending. We have two home grown players ever and only 1 has seen any sort of real time. They brought in some great caliber players in (ITS, Tinnerholm, Ring, Chanot, Callens) over the past few seasons but also have misses (Berget, Ofori, etc.) and in a salary cap league, you can't afford to have misses and with home grown players, the misses are fewer typically. Find me a DP worthy player who would of willingly came her last season that would of made our team better. My guess is that you'll struggle to find any realistic options that would genuinely improve the team. It sucks that they couldn't get him a Cup, but at the end of the day, the team went out and tried to win.
Are you talking money spent on recent NYCFC DPs, or funding needed for a true DP caliber player that can make an actual instant impact??? Because I find it difficult to believe a true difference maker couldn’t be found any year if Uncle CFG opened the miserly checkbook.
There's a big difference between someone respected and with a prior foundation in this community, who has a track record of good insider knowledge, and you.
