Since Alexi Lalas will be in Canada for the World Cup during this match, it's good that it was moved to ESPN. They do a better job in my opinion.

I think it was originally ESPN2. This is just moving it to the big network. They must think it's going to be a big atmosphere, which tells you where ticket sales are heading.

Bleh the cosmos game on turf and without Villa etc. does not throw the good work against Montreal out the door. Jersey have come back down to Earth after their hot start. I think we have a reasonable shot at the derby though I do wish it was after Lamps and the other new boys would be here.

Agree it would be great to have our new team in place. Still I think it will be interesting to compare 3 games vs NJ later in season.

#1 when we were still learning each other and in middle of 11 game winless streak
#2 when we had gelled and we're starting to build confidence and beat them in a squeaker
#3 when we had all our new players and absolutely kicked their asses

The funny thing is, they wouldn't bump up one of these games for ANY other team than NYCFC. Just goes to show how big of an impact we've made on the sport in the City in such a short amount of time.

maybe they will introduce some of them there ( iraola, angelin, maybe lampard) or at the very least in one of the skyboxes or something.

It would be nice, but I think that's a bit optimistic. Including ESPND, I would estimate the total audience at 450-500k, but we will see!
