Great news the ownership group anyway.Nashville Metro Council approves funding for MLS stadium

Great news for Nashville.
Sacramento and Nashville are the only cities with a financed SSS on the books. They would be pretty much top of the list now.

Cincinnati should have an announcement within the next 7 days per Reddit posts.
they got three locations for stadium .....i thought announcement was more for that? maybe i read the wrong thread...there are so many cincy threads there now.
so cincy and nashville?
Supposedly they have made progress on the "compromise" site in the Oakley neighborhood. It isn't really downtown, but it isn't in Kentucky either. They're going to announcing a financing plan by tomorrow according to the rumor.
I really don't understand why people hate the Kentucky site so much. It seems like an amazing site with awesome views of downtown. But because it's in Kentucky, people hate it. Apparently, more of the fanbase is from the north side of town though, so the Oakley site is actually closer to the fans despite being on the edge of Cincy proper.
Also, this is not the same as NYC v NJ. Not sure if I have to explain that to this audience or not.
well saying its NOT nyc vs nj then that helps with perspective....but i dont know what the people in their area feel
i mean giants and jets both played in city before going to NJ ( giants played decades in city), cincy would only have 2 years of existance so not much of a following that is willing to "migrate" to other other state
i mean it can defeat the purpose of calling something cincy when they play in another state even if next to each other
For me, the NJ/NY thing has to do with distance and travel time. The KY site is 5 min from downtown Cincinnati over a bridge.
I guess the best analogy is probably a Hoboken stadium. Would you rather us be in Hoboken right outside the PATH station? Or way out at Aqueduct? That's kind of the choice facing the club.
Miami team set to get MLS green light - looks like it might finally happen.

I’m not trying to be snarky but how is this announcement any different than the last 2 Miami announcements.
These media outlets are all like, “hey everybody, this is an announcement announcing that there will be a big announcement coming soon to make an even BIGGER announcement”
Well, they have the land for stadium for one.I’m not trying to be snarky but how is this announcement any different than the last 2 Miami announcements.

I believe the last issue was a law suit over the sale of government property without opening it up to the general public for a bid.Well, they have the land for stadium for one.
Not blaming you for skepticism though. Shovel hits the ground is when we believe.
Reports are saying its between Sacramento, Nashville & Cincinatti.
I think they might as well accept all three at this stage.
