Re the first one, odd and a bit of a shame to see that the seats and team benchee are on opposite sides.
They did that at Fordham too. It was strange to see the benches all alone like that, agreed.
Keep in mind it's just a college field. The stands are maybe 8 rows deep, so "stadium" is a bit generous and no seat is more than 30' from the field. Saw the youth team play there a couple of years ago and am looking forward to this match in large part because *everyone* gets a chance to be in the pitchside seats. Anyway, I think it's done that way pretty often so the stands can see into the benches. In a sense, that's how it is at Yankee Stadium too.
Heh, I just realized how difficult it's gonna be to see the opposite goal end when the highest row in GA is "E".

Anybody know about bag restrictions and related stuff? The SJU website doesn't have anything that I can find. I emailed my team rep but I expect she probably doesn't know or NYCFC would have sent an email by now.
Would be really weird for a college to have a book bag restriction.
Btw. It’s kosher heaven right by the stadium. I’ll eat better this match than any game the rest of the season.

This is about as close to an after-work Pub league game-day roster as MLS will ever get. 11 starters and 2 on the bench. With any luck, public transit will delay 3 guys from arriving before kickoff, then it’d be peak Pub-league. At what point do a few of the players ask their girlfriends if they know of any coworkers that want to join a pick-up match tonight?

Folks, with RBNJ now out of the Open Cup, this means that if NYCFC get their Historic First Open Cup win, it won’t be followed with the annual Open Cup trip to RBA to get blown out.
