I love Zlatan and what he brings to the league, but you can't let him get away with shit like that, and I am glad MLS didn't.
Why would he have gotten anything? What did he do that was even remotely deserving of supplemental discipline?

This is correct.
Johnson's phrase "he's a clever boy" could really be more applied to Johnson than Ibra in this situation. Johnson quite purposefully knocked into him after the play was over - nothing major - but, enough to piss off Ibra, which I imagine was part of the plan. It succeeded. This doesn't excuse what Ibra did, but it should be acknowledged.
I think you can make an argument that way, but I don't it really makes sense for NYCFC to try to appeal it (or if you can appeal it). You only get two incorrect appeals every season and I seriously doubt Johnson is going to be ever in danger of a yellow card suspension.
