This attitude that some MCFC supporters have is fascinating. It's basically: we spent years struggling as a team, and we hated Manchester United for being cocky, spend-happy assholes, but now we have money and a winning team so it's our turn to be cocky, spend-happy assholes.

I'm glad you said 'some', as most of us City fans hate that attitude. For what it's worth,my take on the Lampard issue is this. Of course we'd love to keep him for longer, but he's not our player and he's contracted elsewhere. The fact that NYCFC is a new venture and Lampard is presumably one of the main faces being used to sell the new venture, just makes it all the more likely that he will be back with NYC in good time for the start of your season. I wish him well whatever happens.
