Mikkel "Mix" Diskerud [Midfielder]

Looked out of sorts again tonight. Any legit theories here? Is he sick or injured? Not good.

Mix was a workhorse tonight and had almost no giveaways. His one mistake I can think of was when he got the ball close to goal and just couldn't get a good cross off. What out of sorts are you speaking of? Examples please.

Ill save you the trouble. He has none. He just idolizes #thegenius.

Well I bought my second Mix jersey tonight, so he must be doing something right.

Sure he was involved a lot and had a lot of touches, however him seemed off to me (how dare I). He seemed to miss several passes, backed-passed, lost his footing several times and most telling seemed relieved to get subbed out early. Just my opinion. I certainly want him to be fine.

On that note, how crappy is that sod over the infield? Ball bouncing all over the place and EVERYONE slipping on it.

Yeah, I don't remember it being as slippery as it was yesterday. It looked good, not brown at all, but a lot of the players where sliding all over it for some reason.

I saw players slide more on the sod yes, but also a lot more on the field in general. Even in the center field grass (center field for baseball) people were going down.

Were you at the game? Because on TV, it looked like pure ass. Brown edges.

Not good at all after what I thought were a good couple of games. It seems that when it looks like shit, it plays excellent, but when it looks ok, it plays like shit.

Yeah, that's true. I did notice that it was all over the field and not just the infield sod. It was a little weird.

This seems to be true. Maybe when it's browner and drier it "sticks" to the infield dirt underneath, but when it's wetter and greener it can slide around a little. Just a guess though as I'm no grass expert. So to speak.

He completed 32 of 35 passes for a 91.4% conversion rate, the highest on the team. Also, what is wrong with back passes? They typically are the very smart thing to do because it means he is not forcing something that isn't there.

He only had one giveaway the whole game.

I also fail to see how him losing his footing several times is an indication of him being off as I think I saw every play fall several times.

Not coming at ya, magnus, just trying to see where you are coming from and know that I disagree :)

I guess I need to rewatch the game. I kept telling myself all game there was something wrong. It looked to me he was missing balls and back tracking. The biggest red flag for me was his hustle to get off the pitch when subbed out (for Velasquez???). Maybe it's just me, too worried about him or something, I yield!

BTW, back passing itself isn't bad, but it is if your constantly doing it and slowing momentum. Isn't that what we hate about Grabovoy?

[EDITED FOR POSTING IN THE WRONG THREAD]. In any event, Mix is the best, game in game out you know he's leaving it all out there. And you can tell how important the fans and supporters are to him. Class dude.
