Perhaps I haven't watch enough women’s football of late, but I watched a decent amount of Gotham in the past couple years but haven’t found the time this year. It threw me for a loop watching the uswnt friendly tonight and seeing Lynn Biyendolo and Lindsey Heaps. They are the recently married Lynn Williams and Lindsey Horan. I was watching Biyendolo and kept thinking “she looks and plays just like Lynn Williams when she played on Gotham.” It’s just something that is just very unique to women’s sports that I was not prepared for. I spent two minutes looking at this and trying to figure out how their names went from Williams and Horan to Biyendolo and Heaps when they married each other.
You're not the only one. I'm thinking they got married and both changed their last name to something else and I'm old and don't understand today's insanity and what fresh hell is this? Then eventually "oh, never mind."
I can't tell if we're super woke for assuming it was a gay couple or horrible bigots for assuming female soccer players were lesbian.

Not exactly the greatest clip. But it’s not often you see a keeper get pulled up for a corner, and even less often that you see them score.
I've been slowly turning into a Gotham fan over the years. Gonna maybe turn into a problem when they start up NYCFCW though LOL
i've always wondered if gotham fc would relocate to our stadium and be a nyc team. but like the red bulls, they're a NJ/NY team so makes sense they stay in NJ and playing at SIS. I'd be curious if there will be a NYCFC Womens team. Would be pretty cool, but splitting the women's fan market might not be something they want to do just yet.
Not to be taken as fact, but Trey from Blue Balls NYCFC believes that once Gotham’s contract is up with SIS they will move in to Etihad park and be our NWSL team
It would be curious what is the Gotham fan base consists of. I think NYCFC would have to buy Phil Murphy’s majority share to move the team from NJ to NY.
But it would be nice to have them at Etihad Park. It would be nice to break out the Sky Blue kits as an alternative kit once a year.

Feels like it would make a ton of sense for Gotham to move to Etihad Park. Like the Nets moving from East Rutherford to Brooklyn, there's just more opportunity to draw fans to Queens than to Harrison.
When i spoke to ticket rep he said there was a strong possibility that the Gotham play at eithad park

I found the clip in Blue Balls where Trey Fillmore was discussing CFG and the women’s game and Brad Sims discussing Gotham. Trey does a lot of reading between the lines but I tend to agree with his take that Brad is being very explicit in what he’s highlighting and what he’s not highlighting.
It should start right where he discusses the women’s game. But if not it starts at 55:29.
Edit: after a brief glance through announcement articles, there is not any information about how long Gotham’s contract with Red Bull and RBA now SIS will continue. Originally it said they would be playing all their home games for 2020 in RBA. But obviously they have extended that contract since they are still there in 2025.

As I mentioned in the Philly match thread, I’m thrilled I’ll be back from my Chicago trip on Sunday to be able to catch our game, but very disappointed I’ll miss this final Saturday night, I’ll be out to dinner with work colleagues. My friend will be heading to the women’s sports bar on the Lower East Side to watch it, highly recommend if you are interested and in range!
