$4.3 million is even higher than the salary budget cap of $4.035 million.I need a better understanding of what that means if anyone can do that please.
I took it to mean all operating costs associated with all teams and players other than the first team. Running academies, running a USL team. Coaches, trainers, equipment, field maintenance, academy-related building maintenance, travel, etc. If Garber was not trying to overstate things, it would not include capital costs like buying a USL franchise, building a USL stadium or academy site, etc.But what are they saying each team spends $4.3 million on
If Garber included capital investment then the $100mm is both misleading and insignificant. I don't trust Garber unreservedly but I also don't think he usually uses doublespeak to mislead.I was going to ask if they included things like the $10 Million practice facility we built.
Ours was only $10M? No wonder it looks so cheap. ATL’s was $60M in an area where the dollar goes farther..... so a bigger divide comparatively.I was going to ask if they included things like the $10 Million practice facility we built.
Ours compared to any of the others looks Mickey Mouse. LAFC has a palace. KC is top rate. Even RSL has a 40-50m complex with an indoor field. And again, that $40-50m in Utah has way more buying power so its equivalent to $55-70m+I think ours ended up being closer to $15 million but having seen both ours and Atlanta’s...ours is fucking Mickey Mouse.
What you just described is “settling” in terms of dating. I guess that’s fine for some, especially in the moment, but it’s definitely not a good long term plan.Ours is fine. It has the necessities but it doesn’t scream Ambition
I'm guessing you haven't seen New Jersey'sOurs compared to any of the others looks Mickey Mouse. LAFC has a palace. KC is top rate. Even RSL has a 40-50m complex with an indoor field. And again, that $40-50m in Utah has way more buying power so its equivalent to $55-70m+
I didn't even know one of the academy kids was playing in college and won the title. Is there a way to know which kids went from our academy to college? Do we still have dibs on them?
Pretty sure he was called into an NYCFC preseason camp in 2017...
And we do have his MLS rights under the current rules as he played in our academy (see Jordan Morris on Seattle having played at Stanford).
He started against the Galaxy this last preseason.Pretty sure he was called into an NYCFC preseason camp in 2017...
Vinny Lansande is a friend of a friend of mine. He used to play in France until he moved to NY and Vieira invited him to NYCFC himself. I think he's going to be really good one day.
I still think if MLS rules didn’t screw him over he’d be a professional.Oh, and Fake Jew boosted him in previews. Doesn’t look like the forums really commented on his performance in the game itself though.
What's the story there?I still think if MLS rules didn’t screw him over he’d be a professional.
