I believe this entire play was 13 passes and everyone except Villa touched it. This would win the play of the year as it demonstrates, playing out of the back, possession football which Vieira strives for.

However, my vote is for the RJ Allen amazing pass to Villa for the goal against Portland. World class.

This! All of this is exactly what I wanted to post. The RJ goal was beautiful intricate passing throughout. But as far as assists, the RJ to Villa at Portland was mind boggling. The vision. The weight on the ball. The curve around the near defender. (The handball just prior.) All sublime.

It wasn't a handball. It clearly went off his chest which pushed the ball forward. Don't believe everything that Alexi Lalas tells you.
