NYCFC Players Wanted Thread

I hope we keep mena. He's exactly the type of back up I like. Tons of talent with flaws that can be improved upon.

And a $231,000 salary that takes up an international roster spot.

For his salary, you could have had Ethan Finley. Or Justin Meram. For Defenders, how about Matt Hedges, Walker Zimmerman or Steve Birnbaum.

He makes too much damn money.

I'll give you this, as long as the International Spot isn't needed, I would take Mena or Hernandez. I think he has a much higher upside because he's a physical freak of nature. Hernandez made $210,000 this year. That's ABSURD.

Meh, he's not that young. This is his prime. And at his salary, I'm not interested.

We can probably find a backup with talent but holes in his game for less that doesn't take up an international spot. Maybe our first round SuperDraft pick if we scout well.

CFG has almost certainly been talking to teams and players about next year's DP spot for months now. January transfers are trickier, but it is entirely possible that someone has been identified and was not shopped around this summer because we are lined up to do a deal when 2017 starts.

I'm pretty hyped about the upcoming offseason.

No more Saunders, no more Saunders. No more Saunders, starting in the lineup. I'm so happy, that Johansen is now in goal.

Roster evaluation, player acquisition, new home jersey....

Preseason trip to the training capital of the world in Manchester and CHINA (maybe).

Tommy McNamara will become Kevin de Bruyne. Knowledge sharing.

I'm watching Man City vs. Middlesbrough and Mid goalkeeper gets an nasty cut after the spike on Jesus Navas catches him on the leg. And they show Brad Guzan doing some warm ups on the sideline. The goalkeeper stayed in the match.

But what is America's 1/2 doing on the bench of a middle to bottom tier Premier League team?

I don't want him, I'm with #StartEirik, but surely he deserves better.

GOOOOOALLL AGUERO, while I'm writing this.

Even the US' best soccer export, GK'ers, that have been world class for the last two decades, have to unfairly prove themselves to get playing time.

Damn, no respect for Valdes around here. The guy's got quite the resume. Won everything possible with Barça and people forget so quickly.

Well, he's not really that good any more. His best offer was Middlesbrough.
I know. Same for Guzan though, right?

ETA: I just don't see the huge disrespect in Guzan having to prove himself and compete with a 3-time UCL winner when he just had a poor season and his club got relegated.

Anyone here follow the Irish League?

If so, what can you say about Daryl Horgan?

I don't watch or anything, but 10 goals in 31 games for the best team in the league is promising. Plus a goal and two assists in Europa League last year with a 7.24 rating from whoscored.

I'm interested.
