I've been trying to find that press conference video 10/25/2015 vs. New England but it's been tough to find on YouTube. I really want to hear those words again from his voice.

Honestly with the new TAM increase that is a very workable list to fill out empty positions and even upgrade others.
We need players we can rely upon to score when Villa's not around. Last night Toronto put in 4 goals without its top 2 goal scorers, Giovinco and Altidore. In the last 3 games combined without just Villa* we scored 2.
* Yes, Ring, Herrera, Chanot. They're all very important, but not goal scorers.

You are presuming we keep Herrera?
Either way, I want a DP all around midfielder like Dzemaili before a LW. We can function with what we have on the left. We can't function with only one mobile midfielder, as we've seen over and over. For me, that holds true with or without Herrera, as we just can't count on guys to play 30 games each. It's fine to have a good mid available to rotate.
I'm for shoring up the engine before we worry about adding racing stripes.
No need to sell Okoli. For him making $53K, it's well worth keeping a player on his albeit below average level for that steal of a price.
It depends on whether we keep Herrera or not. If we get a midfield DP and have Herrera, and we are not dealing with injuries or suspensions, we are sitting one of Herrera, Maxi or Ring, which sounds insane. I dunno but when I look at the ideal starting XI from our current roster the weak link is White but there's a certain consensus not to spend DP money on a RB. Next weak link for me is Wallace. I assume we would use TAM but not DP money to fill holes and get depth. I personally hope we keep Herrera, and knowing there's no WCQ or U20 WC next year, have him more available. We'll see.
Unless we play a 3-4-4 or 3-5-2 where all three of our midfielders can stay on the field plus the new DP midfielder. I think if Vieira can get the defenders he wants this offseason to play a three CB backline, he'll go with that type of formation.
You can get a Top 5 League level RB for the TAM being discussed for next season.
When is everyone healthy or not suspended? I think we need to be realistic about what will happen.
If Herrera is gone, how about getting a target man and play a formation like Chelsea? Villa plays that inverted left wing like Hazard, Moralez plays next to Ring. Harrison plays the inverted right wing and you spend your TAM on the RWB
Or we go we play a 3-5-2 with Villa playing in his natural position under a poacher.
I could see us going with that formation next season. Still would love to have Gignac signed as a Dp to be with villa.
