As I mentioned on social media, if they really wanted to make this something, they should have had it float in the air like a balloon at the Macy's parade and poop out little soccer balls they could kick to people on the shore.

macy's parade balloon/float would have definitely gotten more eyes. especially since they're marketing it as "the flight". more like "the float".
I sure hope they didn't spend too much on this. they should still have the pigeon after today, right? hopefully they can get it a float in this year's thanksgiving parade.

I'd love that. Nothing would grab eyeballs like being in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The team got a pretty good amount of publicity today all over the sports landscape for this stunt. Imagine the guts the person who first pitched the idea had.

If so, that’s an awkward way to do it. “Now you see him; now you don’t” pretty much sums up his career at NYCFC, and not in a good way.
Very doubt this is teaser or anything. The club has been posting random highlight clips like this for many players. Magno has been featured a few times in the last 6 months. Taty a few times. Gabby once or twice.
I guess the digital media team doesn't have enough stuff to post so they're digging up old stuff to repost to make it seem like they're doing something?

They've been doing 10-year anniversary stuff all year -- I guess this is another one of them. Very poorly-executed though.
Seems the consensus here is not a teaser. But wouldn't it be great if that was the sort of thing the social media team did?
