Man City just announced the release of a few players. Anyone share any thoughts on them:

John Guidetti (23 year old Striker)
Micah Richards (23 year old RB)
Adam Drury (21 year old winger)
Greg Leigh (20 year old LB)
Dominic Oduro (20 year old RB/RM)

I won't pretend to know anything about these guys so those that do, any thoughts? I believe they were all out on loan last season.

The stand outs on that list for me are Guidetti and Richards.

Guidetti has some full Sweden Caps. He scored 20 in 23 a few years ago on loan at Feyenoord in Holland and did OK on loan at Celtic this season.

Age is off for Richards. He's 26 I think and was a pretty regular starter for City for years until being boxed out by big money signings .
Don't think we have a real chance at either but they'd be very very good for us IMO.

If I was to pick any player out of that lot I would go for Brede hangeland who has in the past been a very good centre half.

I've mentioned him before I'd love it and he wouldn't take up an international spot.

I'd go after:
Ron Vlaar
Brede Hangeland
Jonas Gutierrez
Wilson Palacios
Jordan Archer
Gareth McAuley

All of which I wouldn't want to be DPs. If we get them as non DPs then I'm all in.

Marc Pelosi just got released by Liverpool. He's young and very talented. I am sure LA Galaxy own his rights but would be a good addition for us.
He struggled in Toulon, losing his place to freaking Dan Metzger.

Poor guy. It looks like he's a what could have been. That said, I suspect that he could step into a fullback role almost immediately.

I just saw he's on the allocation list and his hometown earthquakes are first on the rankings.

I have a hopeful feeling that we are going to be busy this summer. It's much harder to sign free agents during the winter. I'm also thinking our summer crop doesn't have to do much to beat the Mix/Mendoza/Calle/Nemec winter class of international FAs (non-DP).

Understand that Saunders has been huge for us this year, but I wouldn't mind seeing us go after Cody Cropper

He's been playing for Fiorentina. A very solid back. Would totally change our defense, but it wouldn't happen. He couldn't find playing time in England and found some in Italy...MLS is a possibility if he wants to be a full time starter. He'll sign to a lower level PL team.

I remember when daniel potts was rumored to looking into becoming a fixture for the united states national team. I think he wouldn't count as an international? Anyways, He might be worth a look. Lets start a rumor.
EDIT- he signed for luton town nvm.

Richards had a pretty disappointing season at Fiorentina, I know a bunch of fans who are happy to see him go. He only played in 17 games total, between the league and Europe.
