That article says that the Daily Fail was reporting it. Allow me to quote from the Daily Fail article that they're referring to:

Carles Puyol has sparked further rumours about a return to football after revealing that he is taking English lessons.

The former Barcelona defender retired from playing last summer after 15 years at his boyhood club due to a persistent knee injury that he was struggling to shake.

But it was reported in the Spanish media in April that the curly-haired Barca legend was understood to be contemplating a sensational return with Major League Soccer franchise New York City.

If reports of a return are true then Puyol could link up with former Chelsea and Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard in the Big Apple, while a move to Qatar has also been mentioned.

In other words, they're just rehashing the story from April. There's no news here, except that he's taking English lessons.

Might've been the teasers that there's a new international player that's going to start training with NYCFC tomorrow, and it's not Lampard. Came from the NYCFCWatch account
