I never said he was playing for us (although I put him at 50%, Jozy at 20% and other at 30% - I think Jozy ends up back in Harrison). But many comments this afternoon about this being his last game in Norway. Why? He must have decided to leave. And when, two years running, there was smoke of him playing in MLS (Portland and then the failed Crew deal), you have to believe he is headed to MLS.

Back to the RedBulls Academy. That is extremely impressive.

my personal opinion is mix comes to the mls and Jozy doesn't. Since mix is free I think he should come on Thursday and see how that jersey fits.
 
Just found it. Lille was the team mentioned. Thought he could go in the 4 Million Pound range.

If that's the case...he's affordable for a number of American clubs if that's what he wants.

The chatter is all about Lille for Jozy, and I think that would be a solid move for him. Interesting on Bedoya - didn't know that was even close to a possibility. If he were to come to MLS, Klinsy might explode.
 
Jozy to Lille would be interesting, especially in January because Liverpool is taking back Origi then.

Bedoya isn't out of contract until June of 2016, but talks have failed between his agent and the team. What I read is that if they don't have a deal by the spring, Nantes will let him go for free in the Summer window.
 
I'd be shocked if Jozy came back to MLS to be honest. I see him sticking to Ligue 1 or serie A.
Should be interesting to keep track of the CBA negotiations this off-season. My prediction would be the cap goes up to 4 million (with say a 7-10% increase in each year after that) with a 4th DP slot added.

I know a lot of people have talked about a 4th DP. I would love it but the smaller clubs don't want that. They're going to resist and I don't think the players will fight to add it. The union isn't going to want to keep the distribution disparity of wages. They want the chunk of the money going to the bulk of the league which is the 100-200k players. They will certainly raise the cap and reduce the number of roster spots which will help bring in better middle of the road players.
 
Been reading the 4th DP is a done deal. Don't know what it will look like, but that's the starting point for negotiations.

Surprised Twellman and Lalas haven't spoken more about this during the Playoffs.

Good point, if they don't add a DP they may just increase the cap a bit more then. It should be interesting at least lol

Absolutely, It's going to be very interesting. The current deal ends 12/31/14. I can't imagine a new deal in place before February. I also think it is going to be huge for them to the important pieces in place before then.
 
Would like to see $4.2 Million with another DP. That would be a$1 million more in total cap exposure and 400k or so more to slot in a DP.

This is the thing - any change can't take place until 2016, right? How can you update the CBA in January or February? The Transfer window will be closed.

No the CBA will go into effect in 2015 as soon as the deal is completed. This is how these negotiations work. Each side won't pressure the other until there is a deadline. The players see more revenue higher attendance and want a piece of the action. The owners want to keep their money and don't want inflated salaries which will hurt the growth of the league. They will probably do a temporary extension of the current deal until after the window is over so they can still sign new players during the transfer window.
