Official Vent Thread

CBSSN seems to be on a higher tier for most cable providers and is in fewer households than ESPN and FS1.
Wasnt the case for us until Paramount+ came out and they removed it making it part of the sports package. Basically making you choose between $5 a month for Paramount or $20+ for the sports package.

So Garbo doesn't have to see it for the 800th time, example ads/designs in the spoiler. It's a type of design/style that a lot of new companies have picked up for logos and advertising. Characters and logos based on simple shapes/colors, lack of shading makes them appear flat/2D.

Yeah I knew what he was talking about but I just wanted to know what specifically sent him over the edge of venting about it here haha

Frustrating bosses. I understand that people’s feelings change about Covid but it’s ridiculous that they changed from a person who is super cautious about getting covid and wearing a mask all the time, to knowingly being exposed to a person with Covid for 4 hours in a confined space and then not wearing a mask around all of the rest of the staff after finding out and telling everyone else that they were exposed to a person who is symptomatic. And surprise! They now have Covid.

This is amusing more than a vent.
My daughter's HS Spring Musical is Godspell, and scheduled for performances next week.
Jesus has Covid.
No symptoms but everything is on hold.

People have become nonchalant about Covid now. The present guidelines have contributed a lot to that. They’ve removed the science and introduced necessity. People need to work and we can’t afford to have them out of work for a week. Present guidelines don’t require vaccinated peoples to quarantine if they test positive and are symptom free. My job stopped paying sick time for Covid positives if the person is unvaccinated. Also stopped paying if they tested positive and are vaccinated and weren’t exposed at work. I know for a fact people are coming to work exposed or with acute symptoms because of this. Also the symptoms seem to be milder and people are assuming it’s something else and just not testing.

Why do so many people who work for various companies of whom I am a customer respond to my emails by calling me? I try to be simple, direct, and easy to deal with. If I want to talk I call, or better, send an email and make an appointment to call. When I want to email I email.
What I don't do or want is to send an email with 2 simple questions easily answered in an email, and think it appropriate for you to call me when I'm in the shower just to say the answers to my questions are "1- yes and 2- no."

My roommate, who slams doors with the force of a thousand winds, slammed a door so hard that it rattled a shelf and knocked off the miniature mls cup trophy (that I essentially paid $150 for) right off the shelf and shattered it in many places. I am very annoyed. More than annoyed to be honest. Those of you who have that mini trophy know how heavy it is and how hard one must slam a door to knock it off its place.

This site is probably the only place where anyone would empathize with me on this situation.

Super glue being purchased and surgery to take place soon. All thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that happened. And more so to have to live with Red Bull fans. I'm sure if you email the club, they would hopefully be willing to send you a new one.

That’s really crappy. I agree with LionNYC LionNYC Take a picture and reach out to your rep and see if you could work out a replacement. Doesn’t hurt to ask.

People always talk about how important it is to get far in the playoffs and all that sort of stuff, but I've been thinking about it and, how much does the post-season really matter? I mean, sure one of the best days I've had was traveling with you all to portland and winning the cup and all the aftermath, but how does that compare to a full 34 games of solid, well-played soccer?

Imagine being a DC-united, Chicago, etc, playing less-than-dismal soccer, going to watch your team week-in week-out play crappy games, losing, etc.
To be honest, I felt a bit of that this year. We had a lot of low scoring games at home. It makes the regular season feel way longer than it is.

I think that having a really fun, awesome regular season is more important than any playoff run, including a cup victory. I want to go to the stadium and be ready to have fun, not say "man, i hope we score more than 1 this time...", as it's the majority of the year.

--- edit ---
To clarify, I think the post-season is definitely important... it's what we all wait for and what the team plays for. However, I am talking about the overall season experience in this case, and for that, the post-season is definitely less so an important factor on the entire season outlook.
