Never. I'd rather have them play at the makeshift fields in Flushing Meadows.
I really think it could if the Yankees are serious about not wanting NYCFC there past a year....which they really might be.
Especially if something happens this season that causes a Yankee game to be postponed or a suspicious injury.
I know some guy named Deblasio could use some good distractions. Maybe if he stops pissing everyone off they could get a SSS deal done.
Or use it as leverage to get him on the right side of a popular issue - especially after the Yankee fans sound the alarm
That doesn't really work for those of us on the Connecticut side. Avoiding the four hour trip to Red Bull Arena is at least half of the reason why I opted for NYCFC tickets over NYRB - Yankee Stadium's one 45 minute train ride.
You can't really call yourself NYC's team when you're playing in another team's stadium in New Jeresy.
We also have to keep in mind that when this partnership happened there was a different mayor in office and things were much more sunny.
If the Yankees can play home games at Shea, NYCFC can play at RBA
Also, sounds like RBA could be our only hope for cool friendlies.
Temporarily out of NYC - for a fixed and limited time while the SSS gets built - is perfectly fine with me.

Yanks and Mets aren't rivals and Shea was in NYC. It's more like asking the Yanks to play in Fenway.
I honestly can't believe some of you would be ok with them playing in RBA. That's just crazy talk.

Let's just have them play at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, as god intended.
Then we can call them NYCFC and still have it be accurate - New York/Connecticut Football Club.

I think they'd play on Columbia University's turf football field before they play in RBA. Wouldn't suprise me if they use the soccer stadium for US Open Cup games. MetroStars did,
