UEFA Champions League 16/17

If Kompany can get and stay healthy

I tend to agree and will add a Darkhorse pick of City. If Kompany can get and stay healthy in time and I really think the addition of Gabriel will be immediate, they can peak at just the right time.

I feel that City are Aguero dependant too much and Guardiola still trying to get his players on the same page, their keeper situation is bad, Bravo isn't cut out for the Premier League, getting rid of Hart will hurt them, however this is coming from a United fan so I may be a bit biased lol

City is KDB dependent...

A very good player but without Aguero they struggle scoring, KDB is becoming a very good player though for them

City were starting to struggle for goals before Aguero got banned. His absence has just exacerbated the issue.

This moment of time think that Real Madrid will go back to back, feel like Zidane a natural fit for them, I won't be surprised if it's a Madrid final rematch again

Pep may include Kompany and Gabriel in the starting XI in the league cup against Crystal Palace. Let's see if this gives a pre-cursor on how they will look.

Leg 1 of the round of 16 starts today with some nice matchups. Next week is the other four games. Looks like FS1 & FS2 will be broadcasting all. I think Napoli pulls off the upset. Barcelona, Dortmund, Bayern win.

2/14
PSG vs Barcelona
Befica vs Dortmund

2/15
Real Madrid vs Napoli
Bayern vs Arsenal

I'll give you 35-1 odds on that Napoli claim on advancing.

Almost replied yesterday that PSG was the only one of the not favored teams with a chance at an upset. Didn't want to get laughed at.. But do feel that way.

Oh I don't know if they'd advance, but I think Napoli has a good shot of winning or at the least a tie this game, even though it's in Spain. I'd expect Real to regroup and win the next on the road...but Napoli is playing very good right now and have a lot of talent on that team.

PSG 2 - 0 Barcelona at halftime in France

EDIT: 3-0 PSG after a wonder strike from Di Maria. He has a brace and playing like a man possessed.

FiveThirtyEight have Barcelona a 31% of winning the Champions League and 83% of advancing to the quarters.

The past 12 months have not been kind of Nate Silver.

EDIT: 4-0 PSG. Barcelona as it stands would need a +5 margin to advance if PSG don't score in the next leg.

DUDE YOU CALLED IT!!!!
Lol they've been very strong this year. Defense has been solid. Allowed 18 goals all season. Draxler is a beast too. Barca is done. Don't see them scoring 4/5 goals without conceding. They'll have to push up and will be vulnerable to counter. Saw what happened today.

Dan the man lol. I like PSG but that was a shocker!

I picked Napoli as my upset special. I can't see Barca & Real both losing though.

As a Marseille fan I should never be happy to see PSG win but it's hard not to be sick of Barca at this point. I'd be happy to see someone new win the CL though of course I'd prefer City or someone like Sevilla to pull off a shock.

I'm a PSG fan and was hopeful, for a draw but did not think they would win. Was amazing to see them thrash Barca......Out of all matches, I thought Arsenal had the best chance of an upset. We'll see how that plays out today.

Insigne puts Napoli up 1-0 in the 8'

Benzema ties it up in the 18'
