Relax guys, I think this is Tefu's agent not being knowledgeable about MLS' rules.
Why would Tefu's agent assist with spin for NYCFC? He flat out blamed the league and had nothing but praise for the club.
I agree with this completely. They could easily sign him after the season's over once the roster settles down. Plus, who knows what rule changes there'll be. Because MLS.The deal appears dead for the moment, but never say never. Especially after our season is done and we start work on the roster for 2016. Plus, I would bet a lot of other MLS teams are now aware of him and thinking about that possibility.

I am wondering why we don't drop the players we don't play that cost us international spots. I understand they will still be in our cap, but we could free up international spots to sign others instead of aggressively trading for international spots.
Interesting. Let him play 6 months for another CFG team? This is my exact concern. Can we give him a Lampard pre contract, those seem totally viable in the league.
This was blocked by the league. The league can always skirt the rules to advance the state of the league and the clubs. Remember when Chris Paul was a Laker before David Stern stepped in. FUCKING DON GARBER. WHAT, HE GOT TRIED OF SUCKING OUR NEW YORK CITY DICKS?!?!
I said it earlier when the "deal is dead" news broke. Remember when the same was said about Pirlo. Have faith. Believing makes it so."@EmpireOfSoccer: #NYCFC Notebook by @Christian_Araos: Pirlo trains next week, Onyewu out, Mashamaite still possible - http://empireofsoccer.com/notebook-masha… #MLS"
