USMNT Talk

Did they catch the sniper? That poor man.
Sure, dumb by Kaye and from what I read he was out of control the entire time. But that's 2018 Taty level acting.
pefok is riding high and would have been a stronger choice.

Honestly I agree that pefok made more sense pre-hindsight, but this was hard to resist.

I didn't watch much but I can say I think were fortunate not to have a PK called against us either in 70' for the Zimmerman/Raul incident or the 90' embellishment. I think the calls we got were right, but calling a PK in either slot is well within the "we were CONCACAFED" zone.

Yea he definitely choked. But maybe a pefok who started the game finishes that? Who knows.

Two really good chances that didn't go in.

Gio doesn’t realize that the US doesn’t have a Haaland striker on its roster.

And just like that our final two games come against the two most important teams for us to play and there's a real chance we don't qualify again.

Just beat Panama, pls, and we're basically through.

AITA: I can admire a great dribble even if it doesn't lead to goal, but I'm not all that impressed if it ends by losing the ball and not even getting off a shot or pass.
ETA: I realize he had barely 2 outlet options during the entire run, probably because the team was gassed.

Yeah he was on his own. Everyone behind him can be seen jogging. Not even a slight lift in ambition seeing him dribble past the first few defenders.
We have great individual players but we don’t have a cohesive unit.

It doesn't make predictions. The article is a backwards looking analysis of the Mexico game. You can judge it now. Future games are different. The only carry-over relates to the fact the article commends Berhalter for not resting his best remaining players despite numerous injuries and absences and yellow card accumulation, and for trying to win, which I seem to remember you supported to the point that you said the opposing opinion was garbage that made you angry. If the team does poorly in the next 2 games, that decision comes out looking pretty bad. Other than that, the article has no direct implications for the next two games.
