Pay Nike $1 million for a rebranding campaign and their advice is "wear black." Can't say you didn't get what you knowingly paid for.

I think Nike has come to the conclusion that US Soccer, Basketball, etc. will not sign with another athletic brand ever so Nike can produce whatever the fuck they want to and we have to take it.

I think this MIGHT be a training shirt based on the one they've been using this year.

You might be right. I also zoomed into the bottom right of that photo and it looks like the same shirt was made in black. I'll still be buying it, and depending on the real home shirt, maybe that's the one I wear to Philly.
EDIT: I think that's the leaked away and the other shoulder (far side of rack) is probably red.
