I think I actually prefer the black secondary kit because the white/blue shoulder stripes on the primary kit look dumb as fuck.

how's it look in person? was thinking of getting the Away one, though. I often spill things (like beer) and white isn't my friend

So I've been into the new kits since they were leaked. I just went to Upper90 fully intending to pick up the player version of one of them. but once I saw them in person and tried them on, I lost interest. It's a pretty bland jersey without the nameset. And I don't really like the typeface they went with for the namesets either. They used a different color red as the accent for the numbers on the black kit. Pretty disappointed. The material is pretty nice I guess, but $165 for that is pretty insane.

Yeah I get you. But I'm a jersey collector. So spending crazy amounts of money on jerseys isn't actually that crazy to someone like me haha Spending $300 on an uncustomized hockey jersey is pretty standard.
The baby Nats are taking it to Colombia right now. Up 1-0 at the half thanks to Luis Gil.
U-23 Squad hasn't looked very strong against Colombia. Since I started watching in the 52nd minute they've been sitting back on their heels trying to defend an increasingly dangerous looking Colombian attack.
Jordan Morris has looked absolutely gassed. He has no legs left and it has recalled affected the US counter attack going forward from turnovers.

Didn't have a lot of possession, for sure. Acosta was poor at RB, although I do really like him as a midfielder. He just wanders too far toward the middle or forward and leaves a lot of space in behind.
I don't like Polster for much of anything outside of him being occasionally good in defense.
Hyndman is really good. Miazga and Parker were outstanding. I recall only one real mistake when Parker stepped up and let someone run in behind. There is a good possibility that the full squad has a Miazga-Brooks partnership in the back in 2018. It would be the youngest CB pairing we've ever had by a long shot, but probably the most expensive. By then, we may be talking about a $30-40 million dollar pairing.
We actually had many good chances, and arguably could have been up 2 or 3 to the good at the half. I don't like Herzog's (or any US coach we now have) tendency to drop too deep with a lead. It was a little 2014 Ghana all over.

Honestly that was an excellent result for being in Colombia. An away goal and not being down is all we can ask for. They did the job. Now it's time to finish it here. 0-0 advances. They don't need to play perfect, just good enough.
