USMNT Talk

Honestly that was an excellent result for being in Colombia. An away goal and not being down is all we can ask for. They did the job. Now it's time to finish it here. 0-0 advances. They don't need to play perfect, just good enough.
The fact that 0-0 sees us through is scary. I am afraid it will encourage Herzog to again stay too deep.

I also just don't see how Payne isn't a better option than Acosta at RB, and Acosta isn't a better option than Polster in midfield. Trapp was fine. Hyndman, again, is really damn good. I actually believe that it's possible that our best 11 in 2018 doesn't include anyone from the 2014 squad except Fabian Johnson. It won't happen in reality, but it's a totally reasonable opinion.

I just don't like MB so much. His defending is mediocre or worse. Nagbe and Cameron and TBD behind Wood, Pulisic and Johnson (Johnson maybe for that 3rd midfield slot, honestly) could be awesome.

Was watching w/o sound on my phone and taking care of my daughter so couldn't always focus but it seemed like the Ref was a bit one-sided for the hosts.... Is that a fair observation?

Since Mix didn't get any WC minutes in 2014, is he part of your replaced generation? I could see him being the ringleader in 2018.

I like him, but I think he is wasted with Klinnsman's system. He really might be the right guy to play in a true 4-3-3, IF you play wood Johnson and Pulisic in the front3.

Where's Morris then?

And I agree re JK's version of the 433. PVs version is far more open

Morris is your super sub for now. He's got to prove something in the pro game before you pencil him in. If he does, I like him with Wood and having a 4-1-3-2 sort of set up that shifts even into an empty bucket look sometimes. .

It's been some time since i've had to resort to third party internet streams so I don't know the latest hot spots for good streams. Anyone who finds a good quality stream, please share via PM.

Get a free week on fubotv. They usually offer that. Even if they don't, it's like $7 per month. You get CONCACAF qualifying and lots of La Liga and Championship soccer.

I really don't like starting Yedlin at RW. I would have actually gone Nagbe there, and have him come inside on attack. Why not start the guy who starts at RB in the EPL at RB. And Stoke has played their best footy with Geoff at DMid. Klinsmann makes me want to scream sometimes.

Wtf is up Michael Freakin' Orozco Fiscal starting at CB? HE CANNOT MAKE THE 18 FOR HIS SHIT MX CLUB.

Guate with a goal in the 7', Mix in large part responsible with poor defensive coverage on the corner, looks like he either lost his footing or was pushed down by the goal scorer.

It looks like he slipped on the field. Blame Umbro or these shitty Central American fields.

EDIT: FIRE JURGEN! And why the fuck do I have to watch my AMERICAN team on a Spanish television channel?

It really flies in the face of all those "soccer is exploding in the US" that we're watching this one NBC Universo with a shitty feed and en espanol solomente. I can lie to myself during mls games but this is sad. As is this game itself.
