If there's one thing that we look at after the disappointing news from yesterday, it's the passion of the fan base. It's incredible to feel all of this energy behind a team that hasn't kicked a ball. It is possible and even likely that some supporters will drop off after the events regarding Lampard. Our focus and attention is on those who choose to stay.
We agree that the relationship between CFG and NYCFC seems to be different than previously described. We also agree that the communication from NYCFC in regards to the contract and extension of Frank Lampard is troubling to fans and reporters. We will be sure to press the club to avoid similar issues when given the opportunity.
