Where would you like to see NYCFC build their shiny new Soccer Specific Stadium? Consider the location that might best serve the club, might be most convenient for you, might allow the best pre-game festivities - whatever. Just make your voice heard!

Remember, the question is not where you think the stadium will be built, but what is your preferred location? (within reason, of course)

[Note to moderators - I tried to post this in the Stadium thread, but couldn't do a poll that way.]

The Bronx, near Yankee Stadium. It is the most logical location. From a transportation perspective, It is centrally located, serving fans in Jersey, Upstate NY, Connecticut and Long Island. Plus, it is the location with the least resistance politically. It is basically between CFG and GAL (Elevator factory).

On a pier off the west side of Manhattan, somewhere between midtown and the World Trade Center. Or over the west side rail yards.

But if we're dealing in reality I'll say Bronx near Yankee Stadium. Already used to it, perfectly suitable location. Flushing near Citi Field is a reasonable alternative but it seems dead.

Somewhere where the subway is outdoors. It makes the atmosphere so much cooler for some reason.

Has to be in the city and accessible by subway. Has to be. Close to Yankee Stadium is my preference

A location near Yankee Stadium is pretty ideal, but obviously a location in Manhattan would be fantastic, also love the idea of Long Island City. Wouldn't be too happy with a stadium in Flushing Meadows.

Interesting location. Believe the only way you can access the island is by subway or tramway. No cars. I wouldn't recommend swimming. But I kinda like it.

It is possible to drive and bicycle onto Roosevelt Island on a bridge from Queens; this is why it is sometimes thought to be part of Queens. The island with no cars is Governor's Island.

Anyway, I voted for Yankee Stadium. I don't see the point of preferring a spot near Yankee Stadium to Yankee Stadium itself -- unless the Yankees force the issue.

A soccer-specific stadium has theoretical allure; but the advantages of being in a world-famous stadium that is near transit and is so close to Manhattan outweigh the disadvantages of the unusual field configuration -- unless (another "unless") the potential sightline problems about which Taylor Twellman speculated are actually reported by players.

A soccer specific stadium is going to happen. It is not a matter of if... but when. More importantly, the Yankees will not agree to have the club become permanent residents at the stadium.

Ah, wasn't aware of that bridge. Could really use a bridge connecting Manhattan island to Roosevelt Island.

In regards to Yankee Stadium/S-S stadium I feel it's very important for the team to have their own home. And having been to YS for a soccer match, the stadium simply isn't an ideal location for soccer.
