I picked near Yankee Stadium too. As a Westchester guy, it's very easy for me, and it's a good neighborhood for pre-gaming.

I'd also be fine with anything in Manhattan and most of Queens. Once you get into Brooklyn or down near Acqueduct, it's a lot harder to get to, and I suspect I'd cut back my attendance.

I'm starting to lean against anything at Pelham Bay Park. While it'd be next door, I don't think ~45mins from Manhattan is the right call. 6s would be way, way too packed to travel that far.

Don't see a stadium happening in the five boroughs, unless its in some remote area of the city far away from any subway stop. Also, no incentive for the Yankees to have NYCFC leave Yankee Stadium. Why would they want to give up 17 plus dates of additional revenue?

@footballdenyc That's the clowns Twitter account. Take a look at his tweets and see why you shouldn't put any sort of value into what he posts here.

I think that the Stadium should be in Queens only because I live in Queens. However I do understand everyone saying it should be in The Bronx. The Bronx is a central location and I have not had any issues at all getting to games. The trains run regular. However I went to the game at PPL park and they're stadium is surrounded by a park. People were pre-gaming in the park and I don't think we will have that luxury if we are going to build a stadium in The Bronx. I would like a meeting place for fans to get together, get "ready" for the game and congregate in general.

Pretty sure they can have it near Yankee Stadium. I mean those parks they built in place of old Yankee Stadium don't even get cared for.

Two years now and still no stadium plan. We were also promised a 70 yard width field with the mound being removed for every game. That hasn't happened either. Please let us all know when stadium news of "value" is announced.

mound isn't removed for every game, it doesn't need to be. Yankees would never let that happen. Pitchers would cry bloody murder.

See here.

It's pathetic that you spend time trying to troll us. I'm probably talking to a depressed 15 year old, but going to a fan site to disrupt conversation is a desperate cry for friendship or attention of any sort.

It's sad, really.

Id love to see Flushing Meadow Park get a soccer stadium, but the Mets will never allow it!

The Mets have no say over Flushing Meadow Park. It's local residents who won't allow it -- and rightfully so. Flushing Meadow Park is one of the jewels of the City, and should never be carved up.

The appropriate place for a soccer stadium in Flushing is north of the park, where those shady chop shops are located. I'd like to see the City seize that land by eminent domain, and get rid of those dirtbags. (I'd like to see that happen whether or not a soccer stadium is built there.)

Should i have said just flushing and not be specific? How bout, id like to see queens get a soccer stadium. And the Mets do have a say as they have money and influence. I would be opposed to anyone destroying flushing meadow park, queens is known for its parks.

IMO i feel the Bronx too far from other places in NYC. Plus i feel if the Cosmos ever make a move to MLS and move to Queens or Belmont, NYC might lose a fan base.

Being a Yankee fan, theres a hard feeling in passing Citi Field every time you want to go to a Yankee game and 30/45/60 minutes after passing Citi and finally arriving in the Bronx can prove painful at times.

Exactly. They should raze all of those and put it there. Build a multi-level parking structure somewhere and we're good to go. I'd also consider adding a water taxi to alleviate some of the road traffic.

How about along one of the piers in Manhattan, by the Hudson River. Although, it would require a lot of money and maneuvering through bureaucratic red-tape.
