sorry mate, if it makes you feel any better I half assed my lineup and made villa the cap for our match even though the game was away, his (and the teams) form is shit, and I knew NE were tough at home. Given any proper thought the obvious cap this week was valeri, maybe would have gone lodeiro or possibly even nikolic, so yea, it was a dramatic bad beat, but only because I sped through the team selection. I tried my best to not roll over and die like most 6-18th cause if i was fighting for first and my opponents was handed cheap wins late in the season I'd be annoyed. And coming off an international break with a funky lineup last week this would have been a perfect set up for a walk over, so like i said i sped through the set up, but didn't intend for it to be so close.I know that everyone hates bad beat stories, but, man, I just gave away my share of first place this week. I had my team set for days as usual. A few minutes before lineups locked, my 5 year old was hysterical about something and my wife couldn't calm him down. The only thing that worked was my offering him to help me finalize my fantasy team (I was planning on checking it anyway just to confirm that players were starting etc.) He always loves looking at my team, but I never change it, even when he complains that I don't have enough (or any) NYCFC players. As usual, he complained about the lack of NYCFC players (this time over his tears) and told me to put in Villa or Jack. For some reason, given the moment and the circumstances, I complied and told him that I would add Villa (I rationalized that it wasn't the worst idea, even though I had no interest in playing him this week). The easiest quick fix with time running out was Villa for Lodeiro because their salaries matched, so I made the move. And I was certain, that it was going to somehow end up being the difference. Yup, I lost by 4 (I believe) and the difference between Villa and Lodeiro was 5 (I believe). I guess I took one for the fam here. Oh well. Congrats to the champ.
