I think last season's black away jerseys were to overcompensate for the anticipated initial reaction to the regurgitated home jerseys. I wear my black away jersey proudly, but expect future away jerseys to not feature the black as prominently.
Non-sporting events, and I'm referring to normal people on a normal day. If I'm going to shell out $$ for a jersey, I'm going to want to be able to wear it out on the weekend without embarrassing my wife as the bonehead sports fanatic - just wearing it to games isn't enough return on the investment.lol what? you never been to knick games? all around 34th street theres people rocking that orange....or do you mean non sporting events
uh..... that's like an evil clown from a horror movie.....
Sorry, man. If I'd known it would've started this big a forum fight I never would've sassed you.No it isn't. We wear white and blue. Knicks, Rangers, Yankees, Giants. All the classy teams don't wear black.
Ehh. They design jerseys WAAAAY in advance. No way they saw the outcry over the home shirts and threw the black one together.I think last season's black away jerseys were to overcompensate for the anticipated initial reaction to the regurgitated home jerseys. I meant in anticipation, not in reaction. CFG, of course, was going to push the MC jersey, and someone had to think/consider/propose that this could come off as heavy-handed to a fan-base with a strong opinion and identity.Ehh. I don't mind the sponsors, but some of those orange/blue monstrosities posted earlier are cringe-worthy. And there are many jerseys that are tastefully done that can be worn around - RealMadrid, Barca, Chelsea are a few that come to mind. But if any of these turned up in our Blue/Orange Scheme, I'd never go near it:i guess, but i do see people with random NFL jerseys or MLB jerseys as well as random soccer jerseys with the HUGE fucking sponsor in the middle at non sporting events.
maybe its just me i just use my jerseys at sporting events or watch parties
EDIT: Oh i do tend to get those "retro" shirts with no sponsors from campo retro and the like, since those i feel i can wear anywhere

As does sky blue, of course.
My thoughts exactlyI hope this is the jersey, and I hope the numbering/lettering is orange....take my money now!
All of the apparel manufacturers (Adidas, Nike, etc) have the next season's designs (running, soccer, basketball, etc) done well over a year ahead of time (a good friend is in the running store business and they place orders well in advance of the current season). It takes so much time to get approvals/sign offs from all connected parties just to proceed to production, and then production across wherever their factories are in Asia takes time to - remember, each of these companies have multiple teams with different designs & colors that requires modifying equipment and settings. It can't be done last minute. I'd wager that the team's full supply of stock has been in the warehouse for some time now.
