I didn't see him here either. Possible I missed him somewhere in the 9 minutes but you might be on to something. Or maybe we're looking to transfer him? I'm probably wishcasting.

Thx for the screenshot. I viewed it real time and it does go by very quick; he's barely visible for less than one second. If he's jogging but not in any of the group workouts, that's consistent with injury recovery.

yea i specifically looked at big group segments because if he was not there then you right it probably means injury

Anyone else notice how little you see Dome in the pre-season training videos? It's noticeable because PV was front and center so much in previous training videos. Is Dome not as involved/present or does the video team just not focus on him as much because he's not a former star player like PV?

Also, maybe I just missed him but did anyone see Medina in that training video? Is he already hurt?

People wanted to see Vieira. Do we want to see Dome?

Was Vieira in the training videos that much back in the day? I'm gonna let someone else Zapruder those for me.

PV was in them constantly, they'd show him walking out with players joking, there was always a couple shots of him clapping and giving some player praise and the videos often ended showing the players playing some type of skill game like soccer tennis with PV playing with them. I'm leaning towards it being that they knew people wanted to see PV so they put him in more because his celebrity.

I actually have no idea how present is a typical manager expected to be across training sessions. I just noticed that the screen time for PV vs Dome was different. Are managers typically expected to be there the majority of the time or is the head coach often absent for some trainings and the assistants run everything? Does it vary by manager and style?

it does. i even read some prem league managers dont go to training sessions only the one leading up to the game. the rest is delegated to coaches for the sessions.

I would imagine its mostly just due to their personalities. PV came across as a really friendly and fun guy, and since he is a former player (and a really good one at that), often involved himself in training and it made for some great TV. Dome doesn't have that at all.

I think no matter what you think about PV or Dome as coaches, PV was easily a lot better for video content and Dome is definitely not made for video content.

Depends on the content. I’d watch a whole Netflix series of Dome interviews, whereas all we got out of PV were catchphrases and cliches

i guess you were "not really quite pleased" with his catchphrases...( i forgot how he actually said it)
