So we should play route one hoofball because we play half our matches on a slightly smaller field? Ok...
Long ball and direct are two completely different tactics.
Alexa, how many times did NYCFC lose at home last year?
At home last season, NYCFC Lost 2 and Tied 4 across 19 total matches.
Dome was at the helm for 12 home matches and was responsible for the 2 Losses and 3 of the Ties.
TL;DR: Skeptical of the Carlitos rumors based on precedent.

They also reported Pirlo rumors before he signed, but I didn't got back far enough. It seems like they're pretty good with language - if they say someone signed, they signed; if they say someone is interested/targeted/bidding, be more skeptical

Still haven't seen independent confirmation of COPE's Carlitos rumor, but Polish sites are speculating that Legia would want more than $2.5m because Wisła Kraków gets a 30% cut of the fee. If COPE's right that that's his buyout clause, though, Legia wouldn't have much bargaining power, and it's hard to see how NYCFC could pay more on a TAM deal.

we sure it was medina? i could of sworn it was ITS? or maybe it said certain player and i assumed it was ITS.
$7mm euros for Medina. If true, should have taken the $ and ran. He probably doesn’t even start for us this year.

huh, interesting i stand corrected. cfg wont take that though if they paid 4 mil. Still waiting on his "improvement" to sell 15ish or more.
The source was a single Paraguayan radio guy. I would bet my firstborn he simply made it up. I'm Peruvian and, in my experience, every single Peruvian player who is playing abroad and not doing horribly bad or having discipline problems with the foreign club, is subject to transfer rumors all over the globe several times per season. Guys in sports media simply make those rumors up, either looking for another Peruvian in the team who would have "recommended" the player, or a previous coach, etc.

I'm willing to bet a beer that, barring injury, Medina's one of our most important players this season and gets sold for more than $7m.
And not just any beer, I'm talking one of those fancy craft beers that you have wait in a long line at the stadium for.
Yeah he's pretty underrated around here because of "DP."
In reality, he's a 21-year-old who cost $200,000 against the cap and had 6 goals and 7 assists in 21 starts (7 more appearances off the bench). That's objectively quite good.
There may be a handful of better contributors as DPs around the league (there are also much worse), but there's few examples of a more efficient use of a DP spot.
