I don't get those emails because CRM is too difficult to figure out for our reps. So if someone would post that when it appears I would be most grateful.https://www.nycfc.com/post/2018/11/28/villaforever-david-villa-departs-new-york-city-football-club
Long article, lots of quotes from Villa. It creates the appearance, at the least, that he departs on good terms and without rancor.
Also:
"We’ll be holding a special farewell event for City Members to pay tribute to David in New York City on Monday December 3. Members, keep watching your inboxes for information on how to attend and show your love to David on social media using the #VillaForever hashtag."
Herrera is a key cog, but so is Ring, and he’s not a DP. We need scorers that also put butts in seats..... that the player to spend DP money on since we wasted a slot on Medina.Quickly chiming in to show support for Herrera, his contributions last year were critical and we had our worst stretch without him.
Not sure about him as a DP, however. As much as we like to think we play some elevated form of team football, our success has been heavily reliant on a MVP-level striker. We will not be a SS contender next year without another.

Just from guys I've seen get cut in the last couple days, Marco Ureña and Jack McBean would only run you about $360k. That would give you enough depth to figure out whether you wanted to burn a DP slot at center forward or speculate on some young striker from Latin America or the draft.
Aside from the sadness of Villa leaving the club, I can't help but feel that the short-medium term future of the club hinges on who they pick with this third DP slot. You can argue that our potential ceiling just got a little higher, if they replace a 37-year old Villa with an absolute stud. I'm more worried that without a DP who produced as consistently as Villa, our floor got a lot lot lower.
Last year, even when the system looked to have failed we still had times where Villa would bail us out (think DC at home). Now we're entrusting Dome with the task of picking a player who surely has to be the focal point of whatever new system he wants us to play next season. And if either one of the DP or the system itself isn't good enough, who's there to pull a rabbit out of the hat?
This. Minus the fact that Dome isn't picking the next player. At least I hope not
I mean...he's at least going to tell Reyna what he wants, right? You don't have to like Dome to hope that he gets to help choose who his centerpiece player will be
