I mean, not to any fanfare, and it didn't drag on, but this is hilariously accurate and i love and hate it at the same time.
Cheaper follow-up. Original was Frigan, which supposedly still may happen if/when we sell Taty. Still-- I'm all for giving the guy a fair shake, you never know!
I really was thinking of maybe a 2-week tease with Neymar, but I think even the rumor side of that is already dead. And since we were linked to 2 Croatian league strikers already, it wasn't much of a leap.
This guy is #2. Frigan was/is the main target rumor. Whether it will be him or not, I think the plan is still to add one more, and probably after selling Taty. Not that I really know anything.
8 goals isn't impressive, but it was part of 0.53 G+A/90 in 1600 minutes which is decent. Gaby is at 0.53 this year and the rest of the club trails. He also had 2.83 shots per game, which slots him between Segal (on very few minutes) and Gaby on NYCFC.
He probably could have added 2-3 wins if he were here all season, but I think he's more of a future contributor signing rather than a difference maker for the season end.

again I hope he ends up being great . Maybe it’s unfair but as much as the 8 goals it jumps out to me that he doesn’t have a full Algeria cap . They’re not exactly France or Argentina and 22 isn’t that young .

like others have said - i hope this is not the big splash signing for this window.. This guy is taking up a u-22 slot, which we thought was meant for frigan. i didn't keep track, but does that use up all our u-22 slots?
he's also not allowed to join the team until visa clears. so take a seat boys.. could be awhile before he even begins to get integrated into the team
We should have another u22 slot open for loaning Thiago Andrade out. GP, Bakrar and 1 slot.

He’s going to get a mini preseason of sorts due to the Leagues Cup (which we were never winning with or without him). Even if his paperwork takes 3 weeks from today that gets him into camp August 1st. MLS won’t resume until August 20th. This break might be what we need this year and help any other potential signings get caught up to speed and acclimate to a new country/team.

Andrade occupied a U22 spot, but because of his loan, we have the spot open.
The nycfc source kid did mention a CB leaving a couple of weeks ago. But it is puzzling since we have no depth. Unless owusu is going to get minutes now.

I know people love haak and he has scored but I don’t like him there. I totally forgot grey is naturally a CB not one to play in emergency. So…..good business then?

I mean, getting on a free and trading for up to 500,000 is pretty good stuff
125k in gam seems like a ton for a backup that barely got minutes even with the two starting CBs out. I doubt the other 375k in incentives will hit
I agree, and not only that but it must be an upgrade/starter. Makes no sense to release Alfaro just to bring in another replacement-level player.
