Hmm I wonder whether there is a slightly-past-his-prime-but-still-top-tier creative attacking midfielder, say 33yo, entering the last year of his contract, with CFG...
He never said Santi had a knock. Said he was not injured and just resting.Glenn said Santi was carrying a knock. was it really a healthy scratch?
if santi goes this suddenly, the soonest we'll have a replacement is probably the summer. i have zero faith in Lee to have been prepared for this.
Lee: "Oh talles, you're back. so listen, santi is gone so we need you to play the 10. "
It sounds like the ol’ Patrick is attending to a personal matter overseas. He never said Santi had a knock. Said he was not injured and just resting.

100% agreed. Maybe not the write-off season thing if we can somehow improve but... you kinda HAVE to take a 15 mil offer for Santi. If you are really offered $15 million for Santi, you have to take that.
Would anyone here pay $15 million for Santi? No. Of course not.
This season is already a write off.

David Lee fights for us.
I can only assume "contrapropsta absurda" translates to "$15 million? BWAHAHA!"
Says the player wanted to make the transfer (wear the shirt), so that he's staying here as of now, will be okay with us?

100% especially with the 30% sell on fee. It opens up the DP spot for an impact player and shifts probably Hannes to that position and Ojeda/Malachi on the wings with Martinez up top.If you are really offered $15 million for Santi, you have to take that.

I was listening to the Sportico podcast and I thought this was interesting, they were saying NYCFC is trying to sell the hospitality packages at $300K.I do think the CFG strategy is going to change to some degree when we move into the new stadium, even if it’s short-term. That’s where they sell Etihad to the world and for that they will want to make sure the product on the field enhances the magnificent new stadium. And for the amounts they are seeking for the high-end seats/suites (which really are outrageous) they will need some marquee players. No one is paying 100k+ to watch some no name unproven kids.

“So NYCFC finally got approval for a new stadium, broke ground in December, going to be at the very top of the charts when you talk about revenue when they open in 2027. They're already out there selling the hospitality packages, which have been at gigantic numbers. I mean, they're selling suites at $300,000.”

$300,000 for 18 games would be an average of $16,667/game. If a suite holds 20 people, they'd be charging over $800/person for those tickets. Jeepers. Hopefully that revenue helps keep the rest of our seats a little cheaper.
