They'll get better. Just wait, be patient and witness the magic happen.
Highly doubt that. The team's estimate of 46-48k sounds high but they will crack 40k easily.
Why ever this pessimism in the NYCFC fans ? I remember when I said that I was sure that this team could have an average attendance of at least 25,000 in the first season, EVERYONE said that I was a crazy and that it could be max 17,000.............
I'm saying under 40k right now because they haven't opened up all the 300 and 400 sections especially by the left and right field corners. Moreover, they aren't selling the seats behind home plate which they did for the home opener. You need to open up the whole stadium, every section, every seat, to get above 40k pushing towards 50k.
Only if they move it to a stadium with a capacity of more than 50,000, which Yankee Stadium is not.
They've announced that they're at 35K, and we've got more than a week to go. For the opener, they opened up the 3rd and 4th levels much closer to the game date, and a lot of tickets were purchased in the last couple of days. (Much of this is in the article, but it bears repeating).
I think we will probably beat the opening day crowd. I doubt we will completely sell out, but 45-46K seems reasonable.
